Grace Gracie Marie Bolen, 69, passed away on February 27, 2012. She was born on October 6, 1942 in Battle Mountain, Nevada to Bertha Van Doorn Miller and Robert Miller. Grace lived most of her life in Del Norte County. She was born to a large family and raised on a farm. Grace worked as both a post master and flagger. She most enjoyed gardening, was a great cook, an animal lover and artist. Grace made her house a home and opened it to many, including hundreds of foster children.
Grace is survived by her daughters Lucinda Cindy & husband Mike Hurt; Wendy & husband Henry Luerra II. Grandchildren Michael & Heather Hurt; Whitney, Henry III and Annie Luerra; 3 great grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends.
A pot luck Celebration of Life service will be held at the Fort Dick Grange on Sunday, March 11th from 1:00 pm til 2:00 pm.
Private interment will take place at the IOOF Memorial Cemetery.
