Rita Rossini

Rita Rossini passed away August 9th in Crescent City, CA at the age of 88. She was born July 15, 1924 in Smith River, CA to Micheal and Filomena Romanini.
She married Charles Rossini in 1947 and they began their life together in Crescent City where they raised their four children. In her early retail career, Rita worked at Dalys Dept. store prior to her and Charlie opening their Coast to Coast store in 1967. During they years in the hardware business she and Charlie made many friends and traveled to Hawaii, Antigua and Alaska as well as many other destinations.
Rita and Charlie were a devoted couple, very involved in the community and lifelong members of St. Josephs Parish.
Rita was preceded in death by her husband Charlie, brothers Robert, Joe and Leo Romanini and her sister Norma Charley.
She is survived by her four children Carolyn Usrey, Kathleen Kosarek, Doris Mendez and Micheal Rossini, sister Doris Delashmutt. Rita is also survived by her six grandchildren Kristine, Kori, Dale, Spencer, Caren, Lisa and six great grandchildren Parker, Morgan, Landon, Alexa, Graysen, Mason and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimers Association, PO Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090 or ones favorite charity.
A Celebration of Life Mass will be held on Monday, August 13, 2012 at St. Josephs Catholic Church at 11:00 A.M. Family and friends are invited for fellowship following services in the Parish Hall.
