Barbara Kay Duncan passed away in Crescent City, CA on May 9, 2023 surrounded by her children. She was 84 years old.
Barbara was born on June 13, 1938 in Missouri to Blair J. and Ellis (Peggy) Gould. As a small child, she and her family moved to Los Angeles, and then to Brookings, Oregon, where they resided. Barbara’s family owned and operated Gould’s Shoe Store and Repair in Brookings, for many years. Barbara graduated from Brookings High School.
Barbara met and married Roy Duncan in 1956. They resided in Crescent City where they raised their family and lived the rest of their lives. Barbara was a loving person and was devoted to her family. She enjoyed family time including camping, and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her Cherry Cheesecake, Cheese Balls, and fudge will be greatly missed by her family at holidays. Barbara enjoyed going to lunch and shopping with her friends. One of her favorite things to do was to have her pedicure monthly, and she was known for her pretty toes.
Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Roy of 67 years, her parents, Blair and Ellis Gould, and her loving brother, Gene Gould.
Barbara is survived by her children: Rick Duncan (Mary Jo), Mark Duncan (Lisa), and Tami Coulson (Rod); her grandchildren: Aaron Duncan (Rita), Casey Duncan (Vanessa), Todd Duncan (Tiffany), Ashley Brous (Darren), Courtney Duncan (Chad), and Brock Coulson (Paige); her great grandchildren: Trevor & Addie Duncan, Ryker & Reyna Duncan, Harli & Finlee Brous, and Brody & Brice Coulson; her niece: Laura Gould Ferguson; nephews: Paul Gould (Laura) and Glenn Gould (Bunny); her sisters in law: Linda Duncan, Kathy Forkner, and Patricia Earl; along with her cousins and her good friends.
At Barbara’s request, there will be no services.
