Benefits of Tree Planting
eCondolence, together with the National Forest Foundation, plants trees across national forests. In addition to beautifying our land, trees provide unique, lasting benefits to climate, people, water, and wildlife.
- Every tree planted removes one ton of carbon dioxide from the environment. Additionally each tree provides oxygen for two people. Trees naturally shade and help cool the earth.
- Trees improve the quality of water, reduce pollution, flooding, and landslides, and capture rainfall to help maintain water quantities.
- Trees provide a home for wildlife increasing biodiversity and increasing wildlife habits through reforestation.
- Trees are central to most green spaces that serve to reduce stress and increase human engagement.
