Joyce Eileen Kellogg, 92, born Joyce Eileen Strickler October 1st, 1930, in Montreal Canada to Roy and Ola Strickler.
Joyce came to California at the age of 2. She attended Schools in Oakland and Hayward California. She graduated from Hayward Union High School in 1948. Soon after graduation she married Edward Kellogg and began working for the Oakland School Board of Education.
In 1951 Joyce moved to Klamath California where she became a school board member, served as a 4-H Leader, and PTA officer. She and her husband formed the Redwood Promenaders square dance group which lasted until the 1964 Flood washed away the town.
Her love for all creatures on earth led to her involvement with the Animal Protection Institution, Humane society of USA, Wild Feline Rescue, and board member of Planned Pethood of Eureka and Del Norte County.
She is survived by her daughter Rebecca and Husband John Minor, Daughter Susan and Husband Bill Diekmann. Grandmother to Renée Clough, Julie Hinojos, Melanie and Billy Diekmann. Companion to cat Toby the most recent of her many loved pet companions.
