Khamnouane (Kham) Sisavat passed away on December 3rd in her home in Crescent City, CA at the age of 56.
Kham was born and raised in the Luang Namtha region of Laos to Inh and Khamtha Sipaseuth. As the third born child, she embraced responsibility from a young age, caring for her numerous younger siblings. When she was eighteen, the family immigrated to the United States and settled in Visalia, CA, where she met her husband Bounmee (Calvin). Together they raised two daughters, Anna and Erica.
Kham will forever be cherished for her unwavering love and generosity as a caregiver to her children, siblings, nieces, and nephews. Her nurturing spirit touched the lives of those around her. Kham found joy in life's simple pleasures. She had a green thumb when it came to growing vegetables, and enjoyed cooking and shopping for herself and others. Her kind presence and playful sense of humor endeared her to family and friends alike, especially within the close-knit Lao Buddhist community of Visalia.
She is survived by her husband Bounmee, daughters Anna and Erica, grandson Zachary, mother Khamtha, and her siblings. A funeral service to honor and celebrate Kham's life will be held on December 9th at 10 AM at Wier's Mortuary Chapel in Crescent City.
