Bruce Lester Kaufman went home to be with the Lord on February 12, 2022. He was 68 years old, born in Eureka, CA on November 24th 1953. His family moved to Brookings, Oregon in 1959 where he resided ever since. He was a public servant, serving the Curry County Road Department for over 30 years.
Bruce kept his family tradition as an avid bowler at Azalea Lanes, often remembered for the “300” game along with winning numerous Curry Pilot Football brackets predictions. He also loved gardening and was known for having a green thumb.
He was preceded in death by his father Louis Kaufman in 1978; his mother Marion Jean Kaufman in 2004; his sister Gloria Joan Grant in 2018; and his sister Linda Jeanne Ettinger in 2021.
Bruce was known for his generous & loving spirit and his kind & gentle, yet playful, nature. He will be missed dearly by his family and friends.
He is survived by his brother, Craig Kaufman of Eureka, California; his 2 children, Christopher W. P. Eckersley of Portland, Oregon, Michelle Y. C. Kaufman of Brookings Oregon; and granddaughter, Amaya Y. Eckersley of Beaverton, Oregon.
