In Loving Memory of Kendal Michelle Halls

May 17, 1987 – May 23, 2025

With deep love and sorrow, we celebrate the beautiful life of Kendal Michelle Halls, who passed away on May 23, 2025. Though her time with us was far too short, Kendal’s radiant spirit, boundless kindness, and infectious laughter will continue to echo in the hearts of all who knew her.

Born on May 17, 1987, Kendal was the beloved daughter of Kay Vail (Steve Vail) and Peter Halls (Jill Halls). She was a cherished sister to Mark, Gina, and Joshua, and a caring step-sister to Sherese, Bethany, Nicholas, and Matthew, as well as to Ryan and Zachary, both of whom preceded her in death. Her greatest joy came from being lovingly known as Doe Doe to her treasured nieces and nephews: Zion, Tae'lyn, Micah, Kenneth, Sophia, Madison, Ava, and Eliana.

Kendal worked as a dedicated pharmacy technician at both Sutter Coast Hospital and CVS, where she was known not just for her precision and professionalism, but for her warmth, her smile, and the way she made everyone feel like a friend. She truly never met a stranger. Her heart was wide open, and her light drew people in.

Those who knew Kendal will remember her as a bright soul, full of compassion and good humor. Whether through a kind word, a warm hug, or her ability to light up a room, she touched lives in small and meaningful ways every single day.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 21st at 1:00 PM at First Baptist Church, where stories, memories, and love will be shared in the way Kendal would have wanted, surrounded by the people who meant the world to her.

In honor of Kendal’s fun-loving spirit, please wear Disney, Star Wars, or Dinosaur-themed items to the celebration. She would have loved that.

A potluck will follow the service, and all are welcome to join in fellowship, food, and shared memories.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you share a memory, offer a hug, or extend a kindness in Kendal’s name. That’s how she lived and how she would want to be remembered.

It’s hard to put into words how much Kendal meant to us, she could light up any room just by being in it. Her laughter was contagious, kindness was endless. Kendal had a rare gift of making others feel seen heard and cared for. Kendal‘s warmth will forever be imprinted on our hearts.
We miss you.

I also met Kendal through online games. She was always quick to share a tip or a way forward if we got stuck. Kendal was funny. Her wit sometimes caught me off guard but it always made me laugh. And I don’t think I will ever hear Ahsoka say the words I am no Jedi and not think of Kendal. I know how much her family meant to her she would sometimes text to share proud moments. There will never be another Partner event where I don’t think of her. Sending love to those who knew her and mourn her loss. I know she is a force ghost now. Xoxo Aimee Stopper
I have so many positive memories of Kendal and I miss her so much.
I met her through gaming- Butter Royale to be specific. She was so good at the game and when I finally got to talk to her, she was such a modest and sweet human being.
She created spaces that were safe and was compassionate beyond belief because of all that she’d been through. She made me laugh and she was so strong. I enjoyed hearing from her when she called, loved the notorious voice messages she’d leave sometimes, and will forever miss how unique her perspective was.
Thank you Kendal for who you were. You were never too much.

Talking to her every morning about everything and nothing at the same time. She was truly an amazing caring friend and I miss her so much. Jamie Moore
