Linda Harake, age 65, of Crescent
City, CA, passed away on December 18, 2025. Linda was
born on August 25, 1960, in
Whittier, CA to Susie (Lucille) Horn and Howard May.
A homemaker at heart, Linda found
her greatest joy in the simple, beautiful moments of life. She was happiest
when surrounded by the Pacific Ocean, collecting shells, walking the shoreline, and feeling the
sand beneath her feet. The ocean was her place of peace, happiness, and
comfort, and it brought her a sense of calm that she carried with her.
Linda will be remembered for her
creativity, sense of humor, intelligence, and deep love for
music and nature. She was a woman
of firm convictions, guided by a strength and resolve that shaped her life. She
will be forever remembered for her rich creativity, and how she applied it in every
area of her life, from her daughters’ school events and homework assignments,
to making art in her own home; this remains one of the many ways her spirit
will be fondly remembered.
She is preceded in death by her
parents, Susie and Howard May, and brothers, Ron and Richard May. She is
survived by three daughters, Monique, Nicole, and Lauren Harake.
Burial will take place at Queen of
Heaven’s Cemetery in Whittier, CA. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests
honoring Linda’s memory with donations to Wild Feline Rescue of Del Norte.
Linda
will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
