It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Michael Joseph Loftin, who peacefully departed this life on April 29, 2025 at the age of 69 in Crescent City CA. Born on May 22, 1955 in Crescent City CA. Michael Joseph Loftin was a loving father, grandfather and a true friend to many.
Michael Joseph Loftin was known for his heart of gold and willingness to help others and being a true tell teller with his endless stories. He was a man that enjoyed life to the fullest with his lively and animated personality.
He was a true cowboy who enjoyed riding horses, watching his chiefs play football and enjoyed giving his time to the community when it came time for the local fair. During his childhood he spent endless time on the Lake Earl Ranch spending time with his McNamara and Loftin family and many others.
Michael Joseph Loftin leaves behind his children, Reginald Loftin, Michael Loftin Jr, Chamet Jackson, Lydia Barry And RaeAnna Nuzum. His grandchildren Regin Loftin, Rennie Loftin, Rj Loftin, Delaney Loftin, Abbigayle Paulsen, Brayden Barry, Arleigh Barry, Blakely Barry, Davine Nuzum, Savannah Nuzum, Benelli Nuzum, Brinley Nuzum. Great grandchild Josie Turner. He also leaves behind his siblings Lynn Jarvis, Karen Loftin, Bill Loftin and Tom Loftin.
He was preceded in death by his mother Margaret Joan Loftin, father William Loftin, brother Jim Loftin, grandson Lucious Loftin and grandson Dane Paulsen.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
