Susan Foster Goudelock (Suzy), age 76 of Crescent City, California passed away on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Springfield Oregon.
Suzy was born on November 28,1944 in Crescent City California to Foster and Peggy Hampson. She was 1 of 3 children, with one sister and one brother. Suzy attended St Joseph Catholic School through 8th grade, then graduated Del Norte High School in 1962. Suzy went on to further her education at San Francisco State University and Humboldt State University. In 1965 she met Arthur Goudelock and later married him on June 24, 1966 in Crescent City, California.
Suzy was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was often referred to as Grandma Suzy by many family friends. She enjoyed playing piano, crocheting, making cards, and canning vegetables from Art’s Garden. Suzy worked jobs from her childhood until 2010 when she retired. She started working in the family Piggly Wiggly store and bowling alley. Suzy also worked at Punky’s Drive-In, Crescent City Convalescent Hospital, and finally at the Del Norte County Superior court where she worked until she retired.
Suzy enjoyed visits from her sister Linda and brother Mike. They enjoyed driving around the beach.
She enjoyed watching her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren perform in music concerts, plays, and athletics.
Suzy was preceded in death by her parents Foster & Peggy Hampson, husband Arthur Goudelock, beloved sister-in-law Virginia Hampson, and later her stepmother Lee Hampson.
Suzy is survived by her children Tanya & Dicky Morgan, Leann & Joe Gregorio, and Richie & Melissa Goudelock, her grandchildren Jocelyn Gregorio, Joshua Goudelock & Davey, Samantha Morgan & Walter, Daniel Goudelock & Geena, RJ & Taylor Morgan, Jessica & Devon Little, Jolea Gregorio & Bronx, & Justin Goudelock. Her great grandchildren Madisyn, Auriana, Cooper, Brody, Tinsley, Emmelyn, Jasper & Lucca, her sister Linda Warren, brother Michael Hampson, stepbrother Doyle Holcomb, & stepsister Judith Remsburg, and numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
